New Electric Airplane

e430

Touted at a 3 hour leg and designed by the Chinese, will this be the future of aircraft?

 Terrafugia

In the spirit of GA and innovation at KGVE we are highlighting this manufacturer on our page. It is another version of the car with wings. It is currently an experimental wanna be LSA.This link shows it actually flying. Look for it at Sun-N-Fun and Oshkosh because it will probably steal the show!

Below: Current approach for 230 at KGVE after runway obstructions removed.

            Father's Day Fly-in

Pictured below, Gayle and Bill Salisbury braved the gusting winds in their Cessna 195 to joined us for free home made iice cream and hot dogs and hamburgers.

Bill said, "This was a special day and it meant a lot to me."

FLOUR BOMBING THE FAA GUY because he is here to help you!

Yes! You now can flour bomb the FAA guy from the air! Flour bombs will be available for purchase. All money goes to GAPS: Gordonsville Airport Preservation Society. Help an airport stay active and have fun! This was set up for its first appearance Father’s Day. The 20 knot winds made it impractical to participate. We will be having a “Flour Bomb the FAA Guy” once a month, on Saturdays at KGVE.  You may purchase flour bombs for $2.00 from GAPS.  If you are lucky and hit the target you will receive a certificate to prove you “flour bombed the FAA guy” and hit the bull’s eye

A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.
