Channel 29 News visits Gordonsville, Virginia Airport.

Dan Rogers, aerobatic instructor of aero enterprises  (http://flyacro.us/acro.html) based at Gordonsville Municipal Airport, helps Kasey Hott from Channel 29 with attaching her parachute!

Cub Scouts visit the airport and get rides in a Cessna 140 owned by Skip Degan of Tailwheel Basics.

 

407 Helicopter Pilot stops in for free lunch and home made ice cream.

Newest project at Gordonsville Airport is Bob Ross's RV 12!

Bob Ross is a member of GAPS and enjoys exchanging ideas about building his airplane with other GAPS members.

Bob Ross recently went to Aurora, Oregon

to see the Van's factory and visit with Mr. Richard VanGrunsve.

Preserving the grass roots aviation community by filling in the gaps between: past and future, antique and LSA (Light Sport Aviation), experimental and general aviation aircraft, and our local pilots and community.

Some things you just never see from the ground. Look what we found while flying by a local field!

Bluebird Aerodrome, LLC and GAPS: Gordonsville Airport Preservation Society (Now pending IRS non-profit status) and the people associated with said groups are not affiliated with nor do they have any control over Gordonsville Municipal Airport ownership and/or management.

GAPS is a nonprofit organization (pending IRS paper work return) and exist only for the promotion, preservation and innovation of general aviation and community involvement with aviation.

Bluebird Aerodrome, LLC acts as a focal point for the general aviation community for restoration and  the promotion of community involvement in the preservation and historic value of general aviation at the Gordonsville Municipal Airport in Gordonsville, VA. 

Both organizations are not for profit. We do not run a business at the airport but provide such services as mowing grass, providing clean rest rooms, and historic information about the airport to the visiting community.
